This adorable young man is Clarence, a chow that is only about a year old and came to us from our Newark facility in search of a great home of his own. Clarence was removed from a bad situation at a restaurant that he was living in and is ready to make a fresh start in life. He was a bit of an overgrown mess when he came to us, so he needed to be shaved down, but he was an absolute angel through it all and is happy to be rid of his heavy, matted coat. Clarence is not your typical chow chow.....no sir. Clarence is more like a lovable teddy bear that is sweeter than anything, and just loves people. He acts as if he's a little shy when he first meets you but all it takes is one scratch behind his ears and he's your best friend for life. Clarence is made up of 0% attitude and 100% niceness, and is a true gentleman. He is very well behaved and easy going, and doesn't get riled up easily. Clarence walks well on a leash and will sit nicely when asked. He doesn't have much interest in toys, but does enjoy roaming around our exercise yard and sniffing things out. Clarence doesn't seem to mind other dogs or cats, but he will need a home with no children under the age of 10. This gentle boy is so deserving of a fresh start in life with a family that will love and care for him always. File#23533 5/22/14
