My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We are having a Senior Special for our seniors. NO ADOPTION FEE to an approved home.
Aye Chihuahua! Meet Petey, the king of chihuahuas. His handsome brindle
coat makes him stand out in a crowd. This cutie is such a people dog. He is fine with dogs and kids, but may really shine in a quieter home where you can help him complete his house training. Petey loves to go for walks but is definitely an explorer so he MUST be kept on a leash if not in a secure area. Petey is crate trained.

We have several mid-life dogs that are still waiting patiently for a new permanent home.
Petey is one of these homeless little guys on whom we are not giving up on finding them a home. He has been in rescue a long time and gets overlooked again and again. He literally just need a warm lap and a happy spot to watch the traffic go by. The bonus to adopting one of our senior dogs is free vacation dog-sitting, as long as we are in town at the time.



Retirees would be an amazing fit, but he is adaptable to pretty much any family. He's about 9 pounds and is looking for a person with a big heart who will let him borrow a few square feet of space for the rest of his life.

Petey is up-to-date with routine shots and spayed/neutered and is microchipped.
