Covered in fleas and overheated Max was found discarded on the side of the road with his sister Mae. When his rescuers pulled over to gather him in he immediately ran into their laps. After a bath, some meds, and much needed food and water he felt like a new boy!

Max loves to greet people with a quick wag of the tail and puppy hop in his step. He quickly learned a few new commands and loves to be rewarded for his work! While he may still mistake the carpet for the grass or a shoe for a toy, he is making long strides everyday. Max is a natural companion and prefers company. He may cry a bit when he's left alone but is comfortable in his kennel once rewarded for going in. And he keeps it clean (never had an accident inside)! He is a bit shy around new dogs but warmed up quickly to his big foster sister.
