My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi. I am Bailey. I know, I know, I know. This is a really bad shot of me and I look really, really fat and when I came to the rescue I really was. OK. There I said it. Look, I wasn't happy about it either and on top of that you have heard the 'happy and jolly' thing and here I am fat and shy...not a good combo, right? So here is the deal....so my owner was older and she was in poor health and she gave me all her meals and come on...I am a dachshund...I ate them and it probably shows a little, OK, a lot. She couldn't get out and I never met people so I am a little shy, but now I came here to DRBC and things are changing. I am trimming [they tell me there is another photo shoot in my future maybe like this week] and I have started to play with my foster brother [exhausting but pretty cool] and I have been meeting people [also not as scary as I thought it would be]. So, I dunno, they tell me I am the quiet guy at the party and if that appeals to you, maybe you could come on out and say hi....what..oh there is an application process...check it out...I would love a new home :) Hope to meet you soon.

Bailey is an 2.5 year old neutered red male who is current on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on preventative and has been placed on the DRBC long life diet. If you are seriously interested in participating in DRBC's Adoption Program, visit our webpage: www.doxierescue.com or send an email to Info@DoxieRescue.com for an application. The DRBC Website will help you can learn more about our adoption process and download the application and adoption brochure.

NOTE: DRBC is a regional rescue that only adopts to NJ, NY, DE, MD and Eastern PA areas to adults aged 21 yrs and older. This 'think global, act local' approach helps us provide the best in supportive medical care and behavioral guidance across the life of our placements.
