MEET MAX -
Do you remember the TV comedy, 'Get Smart' from the 1960's, about a secret agent named Maxwell (Max) Smart? He had a shoe for a telephone and made his way in and out of Headquarters (Control) via telephone booth. His boss was referred to as 'Chief' and his best friend and partner was the lovely and talented Agent 99 that always got him out of trouble. Well, meet our MAX...This little standard dachshund puppy is Smart and has all the makings of a tough yet tenderhearted agent. MAX is so "smart,' he knows the sit command, to bed command, and come, and when he barks, all you have to do is whistle and he stops. At 8 months old, MAX is leash, car and house trained. He loves to play with other dogs and loves children. He wants to play with cats but they don't show the same enthusiasm for playing with him. He loves to ride in the car and pickup and his teeth are so white and great, he looks like he could be on TV! Do you think you could be the Agent 99 or Chief to forever love our smart little MAX?
OUR CRITERIA (aka The Fine Print):
Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria. Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time? Have a securely fenced yard? We do not place same gender dogs in a home unless they were raised together, and children need to be 10 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie). We prefer non smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc) Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember, these are rescues; many were surrendered because of these issues.
WHAT YOU GET IN RETURN WITH YOUR LITTLE RESCUE:
All our dogs are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, Pyrantyl, nails trimmed, and dental when needed. They'll come with a basket of goodies, food, toys and a custom made harness. The adoption fee is $395, sorry no exceptions, as this covers the cost to rescue them, vet them and take care of them while in our rescue. It also helps towards the care of other doxies that come with huge vet or dental bills or need extensive behavioral training.
