Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sometimes people contact us and say that they would like to adopt the hardest to adopt kitties at a rescue-- the ones most in need of a forever home. In our case, the ones we really, really need to find a home for are Gavroche and Cosette (AKA the French Fries), though they would honestly be wonderful companions for a person or family.
This brother-sister duo came to us late last fall as teeny kittens. The "rescue" that had them was being investigated by the Department of Agriculture. They were runny eyed, had fleas, were unsocialized, and had ringworm. It took us months and months to treat them, but they have finally been declared healthy! Over that time, they have made a lot of progress. Gavroche is a wonderful cat-- cuddly, playful, and a total purr monster. Plus, he is a gorgeous orange. Cosette, the tortie girl, is more of a challenge. She likes to come to people on her own terms, and she adores playing with her brother, but she is not as outgoing and cuddly. She is definitely shy, though loving. Unfortunately, these two missed the window of their adorable kittenhood, though they are only 9 months old now. They need an understanding adopter who will love the cuddles and play, but also know these two have been through A LOT. Do you know someone willing to give this pair a chance?
Please email carfforanimals@gmail.com if you or someone you know might be interested in giving these two a home!
