found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
Chelsea is Shepherd mix approximately 8 months old. She is small weighing in at 30 pounds. She's slim and petite. Her collar was so tight she had a fungal infection on her neck.
Chelsea is bright and playful like a puppy. She loves to play tug with her toys. She dances around, over and under the bigger dogs. She hides under the deck and races around the yard. We know she wasn’t treated very well wherever she came from. Poor little Chelsea is quick to cower and crawl in submission. We are working on her self confidence. She is learning to walk on a leash, it appears she had never been walked on one before. She goes limp like a sack of potatoes. She's terrified of a crate. Who knows what this sweet dog went through before she was dumped.
But that's changing! Finally safe in a household of happy dogs, Chelsea is opening up. She's running around, exploring. She's staked out a dog bed for herself. She's learning to come when she's called--her head up and her eyes bright. Groveling and crawling and turning into a sack of potatoes isn't necessary any more.
Chelsea would love her own family and would do best in a home with another dog to continue bringing her forward and make her feel safe. She needs reassurance that she'll never be hurt again. Once she gets that...all things are possible!
