Jan's Story...
This is Jan. This little cutie and her three siblings were dumped in a high kill shelter in Georgia. We are so happy they are safe and sound with us. Jan is about 8 weeks old and sweet, goofy and cute as a button. She just loves to play with her sisters and brother (also listed) in her foster home, but what she really needs is a home of her own. She is about 8 lbs right now, and we are guessing she will be medium sized when she is fully grown. We do not know what her true mix is but we do know she is 100% adorable. If Jan is the girl for you, please copy and paste this link to your web browser to fill out our online application, http://members.petfinder.com/~CT243/sampleform.html. Jan will have two of her three puppy shots and has been wormed. Vetting and transport up north included in her $450 adoption fee. There is an additional $50 deposit which will be refunded upon proof of spay.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jan, a Westport Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Westport, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Westport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Westport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Westport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Westport paves the way for another one to be saved.
