Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Anabelle’s name says it all. It’s from Latin meaning “easy to love.” And what a love she is! Despite being a little shy, she’s very affectionate and wants to snuggle and give kisses all the time.
“Annie” is about a year old and medium-sized at 37 pounds. At first glance, she looks like a black tricolor Aussie, but is merled on her neck and legs.
Anabelle is a very well-behaved young lady. We brought her home from the animal shelter and found that she’s already house-trained, crate-trained, and knows how to sit and come. She is great with people, other dogs, and cats. We haven’t seen her interact with kids yet. She doesn’t chew things, and she’s quiet.
The only thing we’ve noticed is that she’s a little “hand shy,” which could mean that someone in her past was not too nice to her. And she’s not too sure about walking on a leash -- she just lies down. But we’re working on that.
She’s very bright, eager to please, and highly food motivated, so training her should be a breeze. And she’s very athletic.
Most of all she just wants someone to love! You can see Anabelle’s video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YoXSuOxVrN4
Anabelle is fostered in the Lakeland area. 2/20/08
