Masha's Story...
Come meet Masha at the April 5th adoption event, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., 750 General Motors Road, Milford, MI 48381

Masha is a very friendly and affectionate cat, about 10 months old. She loves to rub against you and do figure eights around your legs. Masha was found outside during the below zero weather we had this February. Her paws and tail were frozen and her ears were already frostbitten. She was skinny and underweight and just desperate for love and affection. She came right to her rescuer and begged to be picked up. Masha got a clean bill of health from the vet, as well as her vaccinations and deworming. Masha was already spayed. She ate vigorously right away. Her paws and tail warmed up just fine but her ears are damaged and the tips have fallen off. Poor Masha - so sweet and loving. Masha enjoys being groomed and likes to play with toys. She uses a litter box like a good girl and she loves to lounge in her cat tent or in her kitty bed. She loves to watch out the window and curl up with you on the couch. Masha does get excited and gives love bites occasionally, so we think she should go to a home with no small children. If you'd like to meet Masha, please email pawsforliferescue@comcast.net.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Masha, a Troy Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Troy, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Troy.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Troy already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Troy breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Troy paves the way for another one to be saved.
