4/16/2017 UPDATE - Shepley has severe allergies. He has allergy shots which he needs to take every 10 days. Serum is not cheap so please do not apply if you do not have the money to take care of our boy.
1/3/2015 UPDATE - What a WONDERFUL dog!!! Mr. Shepley is housetrained. He absolutely LOVES to play ball. He is very good with our family. He is a little careful about people he doesn't know but once introduced correctly he is absolutely fine :) He does not mind being crated at bedtime but would be fine to just allow to find a couch or bed to sleep on also :)
Shepley is one of our 4 Lebanon Shed Dogs :( He was kept in a shed with 3 other large dogs. It was dirty and they all smelled HORRIBLE! His fur is in horrific condition, mostly from bad nutrition but also skin infections. I am willing to bet he hasn't seen a nice warm soapy bath in years :(
Today he starts a new life with 2nd Chance. He will be bathed, get all his vaccinations, nails clipped and a warm soft bed to sleep on all night.
We love you Shepley and we are going to teach you what it should be like to be a dog, complete with toys, fun, lots of hugs and petting and care!
7/5/2014 - I took Shepley from the boarding facitlity to my home and he is doing wonderfully! He loves to play ball. He LOVES little dogs and he just adores attention and being a part of a family. I am thrilled at his progress so far!
Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not.
A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop!
