Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Shandra is a very sensitive 3 year old, 29 pound, old soul Schnauzer mix girl who needs a constant companion and friend in life. We do not know this precious girl’s past. We think she was abused by a man, but we have promised her a better future. She is friendly with other dogs but does not play with them. She does not mind cats or ferrets, which is great and she walks well on a leash. She is completely house trained but prefers to have a fenced area to do her duties off leash as the leash makes her nervous to do business. There is no need for a crate for Shandra because she is so good and doesn’t tear anything up. She loves to cuddle in the bed. In fact, that's where she likes to spend her time. She does like to be talked to and loved on. Her only problem is she gets scared if you take her by the collar. We aren’t sure how she was hurt or maybe mishandled is the better word. If you take it easy and talk her through the process, she will let you put the leash on her. It will take a very understanding loving person to bring her around. Routine, routine. Shandra has been a great house guest in her foster home. She lets you know when she wants out and then she comes right back in. She would be a great companion for a home bound person.
