**** ADOPTION PENDING **** Hans is one of Colorado’s sweetheart dachshunds available for adoption. Hans is a 2 year old miniature smooth coat black and tan dachshund that weighs about 11 pounds. Hans was a bit fearful when he came into rescue. His fear may have been due to sitting in a shelter for many weeks or it could have been something that happened to him before the shelter. Even so, Hans has a great disposition; he is energetic, loves to play and has learned that human attention is a good thing. An added bonus is that he is a minimalist when it comes to barking. Hans is also very responsive to verbal correction. He is crate trained and close to finishing house training. Hans does not mark. He gets along well with other dogs. Proper introductions to other dogs is very important because initially he can be timid. He has not been cat tested. Hans’ ideal COLORADO adult home will have a fenced yard and another small dog to play with or a human who is home more than gone and who will take him on daily walks plus other fun trips.
