Dartanian is our big boy, standing 16.3 hands. He is a stunning grey that came to us from a downstate animal control. He had been found wandering along the side of the road, a walking skeleton. Dartanian gained a desired weight and has continued to make great progress. He has an old slab fracture in one front leg, and a partially demineralized coffin bone in the other.
Dartanian must wear front shoes and have access to a dry lot to keep him sound. He is currently able to walk, trot, and do some light canter under saddle. He is great in the arena and on the trails! He is very gentle and sweet, but can be strong out on the trails, so he would do best with an intermediate rider.
