Boo's Story...
Boo is a senior Black Lab (dad) / German Shepherd (mom) mix who is the unfortunate victim of his owner's death. He lived in a home with three other dogs, all from the same litter. and about thirty cats. Upon his owner's passing, he was brought to the Jersey Animal Coalition shelter where he has been vetted and cared for. All he needs now is a secure and loving home to live out his golden years. One of our volunteers has known Boo for most of his life and is familiar with his former home and his circumstances. She visits him daily at the shelter and would be more than happy to share his story with a potential adopter. Boo is very laid back, loves a short walk followed by time outside in the grass, a comfortable place to sleep and not too much else. He would be ideal for an adult-only home or one with teenage children, He likes to choose his doggie friends and seems to prefer females. If you do have a dog, Boo would like to be properly introduced. A pre-adoption form is required prior to adopting any of our pets. The form can be found at http://www.jaconline.org/pre-adoption-form/

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Boo, a South Orange Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog for sale in South Orange, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in South Orange.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in South Orange already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a South Orange breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in South Orange paves the way for another one to be saved.
