Shiloh Adopted's Story...
Hello all, say HI to Shiloh our new Blue merle into WPASR sheltie rescue. Shiloh needed to be shaved due to horrible matting when he came in, but don’t let that mislead you, when his coat comes in, he’ll be a striking beautiful Blue Merle boy, with a long flowing coat. Shiloh has such a tender heart and is great with children, new folks, and other pups. Shiloh is four years old and is learning what it is like to live in a home. You see…. he has never lived in a loving home before, but he is learning… and finding his new pillows, good food, and sleeping on the couch and all the wonderful things in life, along with chasing the squirrels in the backyard. God Bless this little boy. We will be taking applications for Shiloh’s new forever home at WPASR.org. Shiloh would love to meet you! Shiloh will need a secure fenced in yard. No exceptions.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shiloh Adopted, a Pittsburgh Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog for sale in Pittsburgh, or seeking a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog from a breeder in Pittsburgh.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pittsburgh already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pittsburgh breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog breeders who help with Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pittsburgh paves the way for another one to be saved.
