My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Here's Rocco's story - Rocco is approximately 2ish - he is a mastiff mix and currently is +- 75#'s. He was found on a camping trip by a local Marietta family. Rocco was severely underweight and had been attacked by another dog and had quite a few wounds - others in the camp zone were going to shoot the injured dog and put him in a dumpster. Rocco was saved by his current foster who said no way! He brought him back to Marietta and had him vetted. Rocco was covered in 100's of ticks, had been shot by a BB gun and also appeared to have had a chain around his neck. Rocco is heart worm positive which he is being treated for and will be neutered in approximately 4-6 weeks. Now feeling tons better...he's one "happy camper" and just looking forward to a great life in front of him.

From Rocco's foster dad "Rocco is a Mastiff, possibly mastiff mix and I say that because he is only 75 pounds, but looks just like a Mastiff. He is a male between one and a half to two years old according to the vets best guess. Rocco has never met a stranger. He loves people, kids, and other dogs, he even likes our cat. He is house trained and likes to go on walks. He craves attention and wants to be at my side when we walk around outside. He does not run away. He only barks when someone walks up the driveway and then its only four or five barks. Someone must have loved Rocco before he found himself in his current situation, because he takes to training easy, like he just needed a reminder. We taught him to sit and walk on a leash in a day and he is so good in the house. He was found May 11th of this year in the mountains malnourished, with scraps and cuts from living on his own and from a dog that attacked him while trying to find food by a dumpster. He has been shot with a BB gun and yelled at by people trying to shoe him away. Through all that, this guy has a heart of gold and just wants to be loved. He has been treated for heart and hook worm and has recovered beautifully. He is putting on weight and is all healed up. He gets better looking everyday."
