My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Baby Addie and her litter mates came to us with their mama. Their mama had belonged to a homeless man who wisely surrendered her so that her pups would have a good chance at being healthy and finding great homes. It is obvious that this man cared for the mama as she was so very sweet she has already been adopted. And her pups have all inherited her sweetness.

We did not see the papa of the pups but the mama looks like she is a Dutch Shepherd/Border Collie mix and the pups look like they are part Boxer. There could be some sort of terrier mixed in there and they will be on the small side of medium dogs.

It is very evident that the pups have the smarts of a Border Collie (and the white-tipped tail) and the friendliness of a Boxer. Addie is one of the most outgoing of the litter. They are already crate trained at around eight weeks old and can make it nearly eight hours through the night without an accident so are well on the way to being house-trained.

If you are interested in adopting Addie or one of her litter mates please go to our website, throwmeabonedogrescue.org, click on Adoption Process, read through that page, and you'll find the link for the adoption Application to complete and submit.

All potential adopters are expected to complete an application and provide pictures of their yard, patio, and/or balcony making sure we can see the fence line and/or railing. The application can be completed and submitted from our website - throwmeabonedogrescue.org - and is found under Resources. Applications will be reviewed for approval before setting an appointment to come meet and possibly adopt the dog of interest. In addition, those who live in a rental property are expected to provide proof that they are allowed to have a dog where they live.

Each of our rescued dogs has been de-wormed if necessary, de-flea'd (with topical treatment if old enough, and by medicated bath if too young), spayed/neutered, microchipped, is up to date on shots, and has been fully examined by a veterinarian. In addition, each adopted dog comes with a starter baggie of the food it has been eating, a few treats for training purposes, a rawhide chew, a lead and collar, and a folder containing pertinent records.
