ENTEI's Story...
Hey friends, my name is Entei and I’m a brindle corgi mix. I was rescued from a high kill shelter in Memphis, TN where they had me on “the list.” I wasn’t sure what that meant, but my new friends tell me it wasn’t good.

My new friends tell me I am a very unique low-rider dude. They’re right. I am very affectionate and love to have my belly rubbed. I have a lot of energy, so I want to go to a home where I can play play play and have the chance to romp around.

I’ve been told I’m really smart too. I already knew how to sit before I even left the shelter! I’m working on house training and crate training – as I wasn’t given the best start at life, so I have some catching up to do.

You may wonder why I have such a unique name – well, let me tell you. I was named after Entei, the legendary, firey beast Pokemon! Go ahead and laugh, but it’s said that every time an Entei roars a volcano erupts. Now that is pretty cool!

If you are interested in adopting me, contact Blues City - bluescityanimalrescue@gmail.com – I look forward to giving you lots of kisses and slobber!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

ENTEI, a Waterbury Corgi/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Corgi/Labrador Retriever for sale in Waterbury, or seeking a Corgi/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Waterbury.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waterbury already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waterbury breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Corgi/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Corgi/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waterbury paves the way for another one to be saved.
