Kisses's Story...

Hugs and Kisses came to us as little feral kittens after a difficult start away from their mother. It took a while for us to gain their trust and for them to come around to life with humans. Now they run around and play and their personalities really shine through! Although they are still a little shy around visitors, they are gaining confidence and trust every time we have people over. They really have progressed quickly and in many ways beyond the norm for feral kittens.

Despite being a kitten, Kisses is the feline equivalent of an eccentric old lady! This little cat has bags of personality and likes to tell you all about it as she meows and chatters to herself all the time. She LOVES to be petted, especially when she can lie down somewhere soft. She is a true adventurer and loves to hide under blankets, but also likes to climb as high as she can. Kisses loves being the center of attention and being the first for everything. Really, Kisses is mostly monkey and only part cat. Which is why we always call her 'monkey'! She loves to play, especially if it involves chasing after things and hunting. We have a little tunnel for her that she spends a lot of her time playing in! When she sleeps she passes out for hours in the most hilarious poses, often on her back or lying on top of her sister HUGS. When she wakes up without Hugs, she always goes to find her so they can sleep in a big pile together! These two come as a pair, as they really are two halves of a whole.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kisses, a Vancouver Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
