Hi there! My name is Connor! I am 8 years old and am a sweet boy who loves to please! I get a little excited by new loud sounds and with my toys sometimes but my foster Mom is teaching me how to stay calm and play appropriately. Little is known about my background but when I get anxious I pace repetitively in a circle and chew my toys. I love working/training for food and I know I will do really well in your quiet, calm home with a regular routine and structure. I do fine with other dogs and cats but would also be fine as an only dog. I also sometimes have an accident in the house. I don't mean to, but my foster Mom is working with me on that as well and I must say, I love getting rewards when I potty outside! I am a special boy and would thrive in a home with lots of attention and structure.

If you are interested in adopting Connor, you can fill out an application right on our website! Go to dreamhappytails.org/adoptform.shtml. Connor 's adoption fee is $275. All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. Connor will go to his/her new home microchipped, altered, heartworm tested, and up to date on vaccinations. Most dogs' veterinary expenses are greater than our adoption fees.

DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group, and we focus on the Atlanta, North Georgia and Savannah area. Because we are all volunteers, we can consider applications only within an hour of these areas. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxie's back.

About DREAM Dachshund Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We envision a time when every dachshund in Georgia has a loving home for its entire life. We believe that the welfare of our companion animals is an indication of the health of our society. We see the current welfare of our companion animals as a disease. To treat the symptoms of this disease, we rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dachshunds in need. To treat the causes of this disease, we educate the public on compassionate dog guardianship of any breed. We want to have a deep, direct impact in a limited geographic area, rather than a small impact in a large geographic area.
