Millie's Story...
Hi, My name is Millie and I'm looking for a wonderful fur-ever home. My brother, Charlie, and I have been together our whole lives (all six months of them) - but it is now time for us to find forever homes - even if that means saying goodbye to each other... I've received all of my puppy vaccines, my rabies vaccine, and my microchip. I'm on flea and heartworm prevention and recently had my spay surgery. (No fun!) As of mid-May, I weighed 11 pounds. I'm definitely more out-going and vocal than my brother! I may be smaller, but I have great personality!!. I love to be held and give kisses!

Ms. Jody is going to be tough - and is going to carefully screen potential adopters - because she loves me so much! Be ready for a phone interview, application, vet and personal reference check and home visit - then the $150 adoption fee... But, I think I'm very special and worth it, so call her or send her a text at 352-316-5155 - or email her at HeflinJ@bellsouth.net for the application! I cannot wait to meet you!!!
Thanks!
- Millie

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Millie, a Orange Lake Schnauzer (Standard)/Shih Tzu puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Standard)/Shih Tzu for sale in Orange Lake, or seeking a Schnauzer (Standard)/Shih Tzu puppy from a breeder in Orange Lake.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Orange Lake already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Orange Lake breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Standard)/Shih Tzu breeders who help with Schnauzer (Standard)/Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Orange Lake paves the way for another one to be saved.
