My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

His name is Teddy Bear and that sums it up perfectly. This boy is your basic, big, lovable dude, he’s a real Teddy Bear at heart! A total lap cat and instant best friend, Teddy Bear will seek you out for attention. So get ready for a whole lot a lovin’ from this boy! He will fill your heart in a heartbeat. He’s pretty much an attention hog and will like to be wherever you are so you can enjoy each others’ company.

Teddy Bear is about 4 yrs. old and came from a struggling shelter in Avsallar, Turkey where he was rescued from a hard life on mean streets. Despite this he has a sweet, gentle nature and still trusts in human kindness.

Teddy Bear has tested positive for FIV, but that doesn’t mean he has any special needs. He doesn’t need a special diet or any medication. He’s healthy in every other way and doesn’t look any different than any other cat you might see. The love and affection he will give you is no different either!

Cats who test positive for FIV can and do live normal, healthy lives.  They can live with other kitties who are not FIV positive, as long as none of them are fighters.  FIV is transferred by a serious bite wound to other cats. It is not transmittable to people, dogs or any other species. Please check out the Best Friends website for more information and get educated about FIV.

Teddy Bear will need to be indoor only.
