My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This adorable puppy arrived on May 31st. He is 9 and 1/2 weeks of age and arrived weighing in at 9 pounds, 6 oz. His mom that we have a photo of is 30 pounds and an aussie/beagle mix. Dad is unknown. He is an amazing smart, water loving, loves to fetch kind of dog. See more below.

We started calling Hunter our little peanut when he arrived to our home. He is so darn cute and does the cutest things. He goes down the stairs both inside and outside. He loves to run and chase and play with our dogs, all over 50 lbs but he does not need to be with a dog. He loves squeaker toys, he loves to give kisses, and especially loves his little Kong toy. Hunter is especially fond of his crate and when he is tired he goes in on his own and takes a nap. He sleeps all night and keeps his bed dry. He used the potty pads a couple of times, but mostly he takes care of business outside. His housebreaking skills are going well! He watches TV and plays with his toys on his own. He loves to fall asleep in your arms, If arms are available, if not he just goes into his crate. Hunter makes us laugh with his antics, whether he is playing hide and seek with our dogs, jumping in and out of the kiddy pool, or going in the lake and greeting everyone he meets with a tail wag! UPDATE: Hunter spent the weekend at my sisters home. She has three dogs. He gets along with all dogs and was a very good puppy the whole weekend! The puppy responds when he is called and anyone who calls him he runs to. We are working on the sit command. He sure is a quick learner. We use lots of praise and some tiny treats to reinforce him. He’s growing, learning, and being such a good boy! Hunter is looking forward to meeting you!

UPDATE: Hunter is very good with using his crate for rest time. He continues to go in on his own. He loves water and loves mini milk bones. He responds when called and gets one each time. That will help teach him to come when called and he is doing a great job. He is ready to impress his new family. His tail never stops wagging.

UPDATE: Hunter went to a park and loved it! He sat calmly on my lap, treated him to his favorite tiny biscuits and loved to watch all the fun! He is great in a car, he just falls asleep. Overall, he is a people friendly boy and dogs and cats do not faze him.

They are fostered out of the shelter at least two weeks or more prior to adopting to monitor health. We take their care seriously!
