Libby Lu's Story...
Libby Lu is a really sweet Dachshund mix who was found wandering in Madison. She is approximately seven years old. Libby Lu is very friendly with other dogs and likes company. We recommend her to a home with older children that can respect her size and space. We found out she is allergic to yeast and keeping her on a managed diet of grain free food will be a must. We don't know how she feels about cats since she isn't around them at the shelter. If you're looking for a small friendly dog I am your gal. We don't know how she feels about cats since she isn't around them at the shelter. Libby Lu is currently in Madison, Mississippi but transport can easily be arranged to New England through Animal Rescue Front! If you're interested in taking her into your forever home, please fill out the adoption form here: http://www.animalrescuefront.org/Adoption-Form.html

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Libby Lu, a Groton Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Groton, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Groton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Groton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Groton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Groton paves the way for another one to be saved.
