My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

P’Nutt is a beautiful fawn and white, petite IG at 8 pounds, and around 8 years old. She loves to be around people and always wants to be held or jump onto one’s lap. Yes, she is definitely a lap dog. Snuggling next to you on the couch to watch TV is her second favorite thing to do, after begging at meal time. She has not missed a meal since she was brought home from the vet, and even though we had to pull the last of her teeth, she isn’t picky. Being toothless has not stopped her. She prefers dry, small kibble because it is easy to pick up. The wet stuff slides out of the mouth and she gets frustrated. P’Nutt could be a contestant in any speed eating contest out there - you just have to make sure she doesn’t eat too much. She puts on her adorable “Nutt”y smile with her tongue hanging out whenever you enter the room or when she wants you to fill her bowl.
P’Nutt is a little princess at heart. She loves attention and will wear sweaters and bling without much fuss. P’Nutt is a happy dog who greets everyone with a smile and tail wag; she hasn’t met anyone she doesn’t like - especially if they rub her belly! She is very curious about children and enjoys snuggling with our 2 ½-year-old son. She socializes well with other dogs (she loves to play with her 55 lbs. Lab/Pointer foster brother) and can hold her own in a pack.

She originally relieved herself indoors on paper pads, but she now goes outdoors as long as it’s not raining or too cold. When she begins to sniff around the house, that’s your cue to take her outside.
Her back hurts her sometimes, preventing P’Nutt from “running with the pack” some days, but most of the time, she’s right there with them. Her back legs are weaker than her front, so she walks a little funny, and jumping is not recommended. On the days where her back is stiff and she jumps up on the couch, P’Nutt will need your assistance in helping her down. So because of her back, her beds and blankets are kept on the ground. All of this doesn’t seem to bother her as she prefers to be picked up and carted around like a baby anyway.

While P’Nutt does well with children, there are times where she gets overwhelmed by their energy and noise level. Her ideal forever home would be with adults or a family with older children.
This little sweetheart is ready to be a part of your family where she can give, and receive, lots of love and attention.
