My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Harley is an amazing dog! She was born in September 2005, so she's 2 yrs. & 5 months old right now. She is a housetrained, spayed female shepherd / border collie mix who loves everyone. She's good with kids, cats and dogs. Harley is up-to-date on vaccinations and ready to go home today.

Harley weighs 52 lbs. In her former home, she was around babies and older kids, and is good with them all. She lived with one cat for a period of time in her previous home and also lived with a few other dogs.
Harley is housetrained and crate trained. She rides well in a car and walks well on leash. She is used to having a fenced yard, but will adjust to a home without one if she needs to. Harley is a smartie and knows lots of behavior commands, like sit, stay, lie down and come.

Harley has a friendly, submissive, affectionate and loving personality. She's not interested in toys but does have her energetic moments. More than anything, Harley just loves to be loved and petted. Her favorite things are belly rubs, her doggie crate and a person's attention and affection.

Adoption Process:
Send an email to pawsforliferescue@comcast.net to tell us which pet you're interested in and we'll send you a questionnaire that will help us make the best match for you and your new pet. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the two-week trial run with the pet as part of your family. This is a trial period to give your dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the trial time and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then you sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee.
