I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with cats.

Elam & Princess's Story...
Elam and Princess are a pair of gorgeous male and female two-year-old, patch tabbies that fell in love in their foster home. They are friendly, lovable, playful and loyal. They are looking for a permanent home, but in the meantime they need a foster while their current foster mom undergoes surgery.

These cats love to play and run around together. Princess is a playful tomboy who sleeps under the covers with you. Elam is a little more reserved at first, but they both enjoy belly rubs, catnip toys and purring a lot. They use their litter box like good house guests and get along with other cats just fine – not sure about dogs?

Elam and Princess are healthy, de-wormed, neutered/spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, and virus-tested. To meet and possibly adopt them, please fill in the on-line adoption application at http://famousfidorescue.com/rescueforms/machform/view.php?id=26727 and follow up by contacting Gloria at fido@famousfidorescue.com or 773-907-0305. You can also ask specific questions by contacting his current foster mom Laurie at netochicago@yahoo.com or 773-463-7040.

Their adoption fee of $150 as a pair benefits the rescued pets of Famous Fido’s and Fur Angels. They are being fostered in Chicago.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Elam & Princess, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
