Terrance's Story...
Terrance was pulled from the NYC Animal Care and Control Center and is currently in a foster home waiting for his forever family. Here is what Terrance's foster has to say about him:

" Terrance is a very high energy dog with the cutest ears. He also has his restful moments as you can see in the pictures. I think he would do well with an active person that wants a companion to take everywhere with them or at least have a yard where he can burn off his energy. He is very sweet and rather good with my 14 month old grandson....he is learning to be calm around a toddler. He plays well with our other dogs and has no guarding issues. He still pulls on the leash at the beginning of our walks but calms down rather quickly, we are still working on this. He loves toys, but runs through them very quickly. "

To adopt Terrance, please fill out our application at www.amsterdog.org or contact us at 917-689-8414. Thank you for caring about a dog in need!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Terrance, a New York Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in New York, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
