Hi! I'm Kimmy! I'm about 3 years old and the vet thinks I am a boxer mixed with some hound possibly. Im not a big dog... around 40 lbs. I was found as a stray and rescued in the nick of time from a high kill shelter in rural Kentucky.
Kimmy shows little interest in other dogs and toys. She does well with other dogs, just doesnt initiate play. She is more of a "people" dog than a "dog" dog. She is a very social dog and does well with new people. She has met her foster moms cat and only sniffed her before getting a face full of claws and backing off. She is partial to women but is not fearful of men. She gets very excited when her person comes home and will jump and whine to get attention. She is slowly learning that this isnt polite and will calm down after a few minutes or when told to sit. She really isnt interested in playing... just cuddling.. and would do well with a person who is looking for a sofa warmer, but can still handle her jumping when excited. Kimmy is house broken and will not mess her crate or chew her bed, but would much rather sleep in your bed.( not a huge fan of being crated). The only item Kimmy has shown interest in so far is a split deer antler, she loves peanut butter, and prefers to eat her dog food off the floor rather then out of a bowl. She will sit quietly in the car but sometimes gets carsick.
Kimmy is up to date on shots and was recently spayed. If you are interested in this sweet girl, email info.southernrootsrescue@gmail.com for adoption info and an application.
