My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Dusty, a sweet little poodle mix with a fun personality. The folks at Adopt-A-Pet estimate that I'm about 4 to 5 years old. I'm a little tyke at only 9 pounds, so I'm easy to pick up and carry around. I have curly "poodle-y" hair, so I'm not much of a shedder. I'm a social guy, happy to meet anyone and share my kisses freely. I'm at the Wilmette Pet Center now trying to get everyone's attention so they'll pick ME and take me home. I was in my rescuer's home for a few days before I was sent to Adopt-A-Pet and I overheard her say I was a great house guest: housebroken, did not chew things, barked very little and really only when I get excited, and tried to listen well and do what she told me to do, even though I've never really had any formal training.

So, more about me: I love walks, I'm very affectionate, I LOVE to cuddle and snuggle and give kisses, and I like kids! I'm really a good dog with a great disposition who will make somebody a great pet (if I say so myself!)

You can come and meet me at my temporary foster home, Wilmette Pet Center (625 Green Bay Road) anytime during store hours, 7 days a week (847-251-6750). As I said earlier, I tend to get a little vocal when I'm let out of my cage, but that's just because I'm so excited and happy and really want to go for my walk! But don't worry, it doesn't last long once I'm on my way. After you meet me, I know you'll want to adopt me right on the spot - but you should know you will have to complete an application first.

Dusty's adoption fee of $300 includes: exam, heartworm test (neg), distemper, bordetella and rabies vaccinations, routine deworming, flea control, dental cleaning, microchip and neuter.
