My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Karina was rescued from a hoarder just in the nick of time- she soon gave birth to 4 pups after we got her! This little girl is a spaniel/long haired dachshund mix..4 yrs..8 lbs. She is very cute but also very nervous, especially with men. She likes cats other dogs, and should have at least one other in the house, but it takes her about a day to get warmed up to them. (she may growl a little if a stranger dog approaches her to forwardly). She is the same way with people, but doesn't growl....just scared. She definitely wants to be with people and dogs though. She is house-trained, if given the opportunity, but if she really has to go and doesn't have access to outside, she'll do what she has to do. She loves to have a stool or something higher than the floor to sit on- it helps her feel secure. Karina likes to be in the same room as her person, but not right on top of you. She needs a quiet household with no small kids because she is so scared.
Foster update: Karina is a sweetheart. It took a good month for her personality to come out and absolutely worth the wait! Do you have the love to give this little girl so she will feel safe and secure in a new home?
