Coco's parents came into a grooming shop to leave her to be groomed and never came back. From what we can tell, it may be the best thing that ever happened to her. This little 8 pound girl has a heart of gold to match her golden coat, and yet she startles at loud noises and fast moving hands. She never once has shown any aggression -- no biting, no snarling, no growling -- but it makes you wonder: if these people could abandon her, what else might they have done to her? Understandably, Coco is sweet, reserved and quiet, taking a bit of time to warm up to people. Her favorite place to sit is in her foster mom's lap, and she's fine with the other dogs but she observes them from the safety of her foster mom's lap; she doesn't engage with them. We are looking for an all-adult home that is quiet and nurturing so that Coco can feel secure and trust that she will truly be safe forever. Coco is about 2 - 3 years old, she weighs about 8 pounds and she is a healthy girl. We have no idea what her true mix is, but her coat is incredible.
