My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

London has always been a special puppy. She was turned into a very high-kill Arkansas shelter with her 2 sisters at just 3 weeks old. The shelter director was extremely moved by this threesome and couldn't stand the thought of them being exposed to to shelter germs. He moved them into his home, bottle-fed and loved them for 5 weeks. He also gave them the gift of socialization...they were the center of his home. He took them on errands around town to impress on these babies that the world is a wonderful and positive place. They got constant hugs, kisses and belly rubs...and consequently turned into very engaging and well-adjusted puppies. Farfel's Rescue was honored to be given the responsibility of placing these pups into loving and committed Colorado homes. London's 2 sisters were lucky enough to receive the gift of great and responsible families. London wasn't as lucky...her family loves her dearly but doesn't have the time with 3 young children... or desire to have a dog as part of their busy family. Our hearts break for London who we've watched grow from a 2-lb infant to her current 7-months old and 11 lbs (with an anticipated full-grown weight of about 14 lbs). She is still the same sweet and kind pup who wants desperately to please but got lost in the whirlwind of kids and their friends combined with overly busy parents who have no desire to work with a dog.
We're searching for a family that will truly love London and make her welfare a priority. As much as London loves children of all ages...we'd like her to go to the home of a retired couple or individual. She would do great with a gentle canine companion to play with and to be her best doggy friend. She deserves attention and a family motivated to train her to be the best adult dog that she can be. She would be so overjoyed to spend days wandering trails and paths of Colorado. London is a great companion who will bond with her whole heart. She would be at the head of the class if given the opportunity for positive-reinforcement obedience classes. She is a pleaser..but just needs to be clear about what is being asked of her. London is our special gem who deserves the best home ever...in return she will give 1000% of her love and cuddly and sweet nature.
London is being fostered in Denver. Applications and Meet and Greets are currently being set up for this sweet and gentle girl.
