Meet one of our special CRT puppies: Blackie. Blackie is is primarily black with tan and white highlights. He is fully vetted and looking for a forever home.

Blackie is one of four abandon puppies that CRT rescued. On February 25th, we received an email from a good Samaritan about four newborn chi mix pups that were found abandoned at a commercial building behind an air conditioner unit. The owner was making the rounds checking his property because of recent copper thieves making off with his property. These pups were found in an area that no human could have gotten to without the proper keys. The property owner reported that a homeless man that he had seen with a chi mix may have the momma dog. But no mother dog was found or seen anywhere near them. One puppy was a female and the other 3 are males.

These pups were extremely lucky to be alive. We CRT took them in, they were only a few days old. They were malnourished, filthy, and two of the little boys (Brownie and Blackie) were struggling and had to be kept alive being tube fed for the first week. The great staff at Parker Animal and Bird Clinic in Plano helped care for them and nurse them for CRT. Soon all four got healthy, and began to thrive. They are now all fun puppies with all the vet work completed, and are ready for adoptions!

Blackie is an amazing success story. When we first rescued him, he was in bad shape and had to be tube fed the first week of his life. Within a week, he was growing, on a bottle, and is now totally healthy. This little guy is ALL PUPPY! He loves to play, and he plays with zest. He really loves playing with toys, and is especially fascinated with tennis balls. He also enjoys jumping (he has springs hidden in his legs - lol).

Blackie is great with other dogs. He is playful and loves going outdoors to explore. Blackie is Pee Pee Pad trained and almost finished potty training. He is also crate trained. He will go right in when it is time to go to sleep for the evening.

Blackie also loves his people. He is the first one to meet you at the door every night with a wagging tail and unlimited love! He is not a big barker. He also enjoys cuddling and getting treats from his humans!

Blackie will be great with people of all ages, including children. If you enjoy energy, fun and love in your home, this is the little guy for you!

Blackie is neutered, micro chipped, up-to-date on shots, HW negative and on heartworm prevention. He is ready to join a loving family - could that family be yours?

This dog is a CRT rescue. Reference checks, adoption contract and $225 adoption fee is required.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Blackie - Puppy, a Dallas Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Dallas, or seeking a Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Dallas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dallas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dallas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dallas paves the way for another one to be saved.
