Nikki is a 5 year, 4 month-old Border Collie/Spaniel mix. She has a beautiful tri-colored semi rough coat and weighs 41 pounds. She is as cute as can be with a very playful personality. It is her belief that everyone (people and animals) are all on this earth to play with her and she gets along with both male and female dogs. She loves everybody!
Nikki is a bundle of energy, but she does have an off button that can be used for a short period of time. She sleeps in a crate during the cold months and near the backdoor in the kitchen during the warm months. She may tear open padded beds or blankets, so a towel or plain blanket in the crate is best. She loves car rides. She knows “sit,” “paw,” “up,” and “lie down.” She loves squeaky dog toys – stuffing-free and KONG Wubba’s. She has a sensitive stomach, so the best food for her has been Canidae Chicken Meal and Rice formula, dry and wet dog food and Zuke’s Lil’ Links, Rabbit & Apple Recipe. Authentic deer antlers are sturdy and delicious “chew bones”, as the softer ones she eats too quickly and gets an upset stomach.
Nikki is up for anything, and it not bothered by much. She gets along with cats. She doesn’t challenge other dogs and runs about medium in the pack. She’s been boarded for a week and loved being with all those dogs! Nikki needs a home that will provide lots of activity and another playful dog is a good for her. Nikki fits well with everyone and is a very adoptable little girl.
