DJ's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with cats.

DJ's Story...
DJ is a very people and cat-friendly, black and white, sweet, wiggly and active, four-year-old, female, golden-eyed, black and white cat looking for a loving guardian.

DJ is currently at Chicago Animal Care & Control and needs to get out before it’s too late.

DJ was rescued along with 20 other cats from a woman who just had too many cats that she couldn’t care for. And, DJ gets along with everyone – people and other cats!

DJ is skinny, but otherwise healthy and up-to-date on vaccines, and virus-tested negative. To meet and possibly adopt, foster or rescue DJ, please contact her guardian angel Kat at kbudrean@hotmail.com or call/text 312-823-9930. Her adoption fee of $95 benefits the Friends of Chicago Animal Care & Control, or you can offer to foster her, or she can go at no charge to another licensed rescue!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

DJ, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
