Pluto is a very handsome 9 pound Chihuahua who adores and is submissive to people. He cherishes every moment with his people and really would prefer to be interacting with loved ones most of the time. He does get lonely pretty easily and will call for you but should be easy to train to hang out by himself when necessary.
He may seem just a little shy at first since he is submissive, but as soon as he warms up (very quickly!!), he cannot get enough cuddles, hugs and face rubs. He is super loving and affectionate and longs to be your favorite lap baby. He will roll around in your lap with delight, showing you how happy he is to be with you.
He is friendly to strangers, hoping to make yet another friend who will love him.
Pluto is great on the leash and potties nicely when you take him out. He has kept his room clean here and shown no marking behavior.
Sweetheart Pluto has been good with all the other little dogs here at the shelter.
Pluto does not seem to be familiar with toys yet but he is very treat motivated and sure understands what a treat is.
He was surrendered by his owner; maybe they just did not have time to play with or care for him. He is a little thin and should probably be about 10 pounds. He is happy natured and is a pure delight as soon as he starts feeling comfy, which does not take long.
If you are looking for a very loving, snuggly, devoted, friendly little companion, Pluto will be delighted to oblige! He will thrive in a home where people are home enough to keep him happy. He thinks his job in this world is to LOVE, LOVE, LOVE you! Pluto is about 3 years old with a charming little underbite.
