Ophelia is a true princess. Spoiled, elegant, and absolutely gorgeous, this girl is seeking a "husbun" of her own. She is very independent, yet outgoing. She would make a great match for an overly active male bun who needs somebunny to ground him or a very chill boy that just likes to relax and enjoy life. She is incredibly smart and was the runt of the litter when she was found abandoned with her siblings. She is a true survivor and it shows in her strong-willed personality. Ophelia is the type of bunny who knows what she wants and isn't afraid to go after it. Courageous and regal, her firecracker personality is not something you want to miss out on! Bring her home today!

The South Florida Rabbit Rescue independently operates out of private foster homes, where our volunteers treat fosters as a part of their family (we currently do not have a primary facility). This gives us the opportunity to truly know our bunnies' personalities inside and out--so we can make the perfect recommendation for you! We will spend as much time with you as you need in order to make the right decision for you and your entire family. We want you to take your bunny home feeling happy, confident in your ability to take care of him/her, and knowing that you always have a friend in us. The South Florida Rabbit Rescue has a large community of local bunny lovers/fosters/volunteers/rescuers/adopters that get together and share their common love for rabbits.

All of our rabbits live in INDOOR foster homes and are socialized and/or rehabilitated, litter trained, and spayed/neutered. The adoption donation for a single rabbit is $75 and a bonded pair is $95. The adoption donation helps cover a vet visit and their spay/neuter. Adopting a rescued rabbit is a good decision for a number of reasons; for example, sadly, pet stores buy baby bunnies--many of whom are sick--from breeders, where rabbits may be housed and cared for inhumanely. All of our rabbits see a vet before going to their forever homes! Please learn about proper rabbit care before deciding to add a rabbit to your family. Rabbits are NOT easy, low maintenance pets, nor are they "starter pets" for kids.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ophelia, a Boynton Beach Lionhead was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lionhead for sale in Boynton Beach, or seeking a Lionhead from a breeder in Boynton Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boynton Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boynton Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lionhead breeders who help with Lionhead rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boynton Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
