My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! Thanks so much for clicking on my picture, please let me tell you a little bit about myself so that we can get to know each other better.

My name is Louie and I am a 6 year old male Yorkie who came to NBS Animal Rescue when my owner's schedule changed and I was having to spend much of my day and night in a crate. My owner wanted to do what was best for me so they reached out to NBS Animal Rescue to help find me a fur-ever home that would be able to spend more time with me outside where I love to romp and play.

I am a sweet and gentle fella who gets along with other mellow and friendly dogs, I like being held in your lap and pet gently, going for walks, and exploring my foster homes fenced yard. I can be a little shy when I first meet you but don't worry, I warm up very quickly and become your best friend!

I'm looking for a calm and loving home where my new family will be home most of the day to snuggle, gently pet me, go for walks in the park, and sit in the shade in our fenced backyard listening to the birds chirp on a sunny day. My ideal home would be a home with kids 10+ who are gentle and quiet, family who is home most of the day to spend time with me, and will let me soak up all of the attention I can get. :-)

I went to the doggy doctor to get my vaccines brought up to date and was Heartworm negative. I have an appointment this week to be neutered and to get my teeth cleaned too!
My adoption fee is $250.00 and includes DHPP vaccine, bordatella vaccine, De-worming, spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine, heartworm test, heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, microchip insertion, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, leash and collar and one week's worth of food.

If you think that I might be the perfect addition to your family, please contact the awesome volunteers at N.B.S. Animal Rescue at nbsanimalrescue@gmail.com for any additional information or answers to any questions you might have.

You can fill out a simple online adoption application at www.nbsar.org and we will start processing your application right away! We do require that persons interested in meeting me apply online and be approved as an adopter first so please visit our website and submit your application today!

Our adoption process requires that any pet in your household be current on it's vaccinations and heartworm preventative as well as spayed/neutered unless there is a documented medical reason on file with your veterinarian. Dogs must be current on DHLPP, Rabies, and Heartworm Preventative, cats must be current on Distemper, Rabies, and Heartworm Preventative at the time of application.

While I hope that you have fallen in love with me and will fill out an adoption application right away, I understand if I might not be the perfect pup for your family. Would you please help me by sharing my picture and information on your Facebook page, or e-mail to your friends and family members? I'm a great pup and I really deserve a loving family to give all of my love and puppy kisses to! Thank-you for your help!
