Update - This little boy is making wonderful progress :) He Loves to be loved! He still has some quirks. We do not pick him up we allow him to jump on our lap or sit on the sofa beside us when he wants. He still is very scared of anyone picking him up. He loves to be petted and plays well with the other dogs in the home. We are looking for a home without children as we feel the activity level would be too much for him... He does not like a crate. He will go in but when the door shuts he gets "growly" we believe whatever happened to him had to do with a crate....
This little boy has been hit. He is very frightened when anyone raises their hand around him. He needs a gentle, loving home that will love taking him on walks. He LOVES to give kisses so if you don't like "wet hello's" then I would suggest you apply for another dog :)
Please understand we do not adopt out to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not.
A dog is a lifetime commitment. The dogs in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners :( We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the dog is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop!
