Josie's Story...
Remember Josie and the Pussycats? Well, who needs a whole band when you’re the star! I’m Josie, and I want to be your one and only. I live here at the FOHA communal cattery, which is lovely, but I’ll tell you the problem I have – the whole “communal” part. When you’re as fabulous a cat as I am, you want all the love and affection to yourself! This Josie doesn’t need a band, backup singers or dancers – I’m the main attraction! I love people, snuggling, receiving pets, and looking gorgeous. I’m a dilute calico, but that “dilute” part only speaks of my coat – not my diva-licious self. No, I’m calico through and through, and I’m waiting for my forever home where I can be the star of the show.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Josie, a Aldie Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
