Tango's Story...
Who doesn’t love Cocker Spaniels???? Tango is just gorgeous. He was rescued by our sister organization in Mexico. He is almost perfect except for a scar on one side after he was hit by the tail of an iguana! His scar, however, is mostly hidden by his gorgeous long coat. He is approximately four years old and weighs about 26.5 pounds. Tango loves people and is good with most dogs. He is a bit uncomfortable around cats but doesn’t bother them. Not expected, Tango is a bit of an athlete. He has been known to jump quite high to get any treats left lying around, so we recommend not leaving food you do not want him to eat within jumping height. Tango has been neutered, dewormed and is current on all vaccinations. He has made the trip from Mexico to a foster home in Maple Ridge awaiting his forever family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tango, a Vancouver Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
