My name is Tucker and I love attention when I seek it. I do like to be brushed but only for a little bit. When I first came to the rescue I don’t think I was ever groomed. But my mommy has made sure I have been taken care of in every sense. I do not like my paws being played with they seem to be sensitive. I know how to come, sit, down and off. I am still learning how to heal. I heal with my sister every morning on our walks. I still would benefit from additional training. I do have a high prey drive so please do not have small animals to include small pups around me. I tend not to know my strength and I would only end up accidently hurting them. I am not too fond of cats. I do like to chase them. It takes me a bit to get use to people so please don’t be upset at me if I do not come to you immediately. It does take me a while to warm up. I do not like to be excluded from family activities. My mommy says I am a little grumpy at times. You see my sister likes to play all the time and since I am around 6+ I don’t see the point in playing all the time so I usually just let her know to leave me alone. My mommy thought I liked to play ball but nope I just take it away from my sister. I would do best in a home that is willing to give me time and able to take me anywhere with them. I love to go on rides and yes sticking my head out of the window is the best ever. I am very friendly towards people but I am protective over whoever is part of my pack. I will let strangers know that I am here so my bark will keep them away. I do not like to be kept from everyone so please do not cage me up. I am pretty good at breaking out of these enclosures.

I am being fostered in Roxboro, NC.

Our adoption process consists of a telephone interview, a call to your veterinarian and a home visit. If you have any questions about the adoption process please contact sgsrescue@gmail.com .
