My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there. My name is Stormy. I am about 8-10 years old old and I weigh about 50 lbs.
I was found as a stray about a month or so ago by one of the girls who used to work here at the pound. She said she was going to try to hold on to my for a while to get me in better shape before bringing me in here to the pound. When she found me (during a terrible, hail producing thunderstorm) I was in pretty rough shape. I was filthy, urine stained and terrible matted. She got me groomed. I had to be shaved and I barely had any hair left at all. I am looking much better now. My hair is growing back and I am getting hair back in the bald spots on my butt and legs.
I am a very sweet and loving girl. I am great with people. I even do good with kids. I get along great with other dogs. I stayed loose with them all day when my foster mom worked and I did great. I was also great with cats!! I LOVE the cats!! Foster mom also said I am completely house broken and I never had a single accident while I was with her.
I came in to the pound after a while of her having me. She just had too much going on in her life to be able to keep me any longer. Fortunately for me, on that particular day, another lady who fosters for the pound came in and she decided she would like to foster me while I wait for a home or rescue so I don't have to stay here at the pound. If you're interested in meeting me, please call in to the pound first so you can set up a time for my foster to bring me in to the pound.

I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.

PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER JUNE 9, 2014.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.

MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY SPAY SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO. I WILL BE GOING TO THE PITTSBURGH VET TECH INSTITUTE 6/19/14 TO BE SPAYED AND GET MY RABIES VACCINE. I WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE FOR PICK UP UNTIL 12 PM 6/27/14 AS THAT IS THE DAY I WILL RETURN FROM BEING SPAYED. I CAN BE ADOPTED PRIOR TO THIS, I JUST CANNOT LEAVE THE SHELTER YET.

THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
