Abby's Story...
I am a blonde bombshell by the name of Abby. A beautiful purebred Labrador Retriever with a golden heart that matches my golden coat. I am fun and active and friendly and active and sweet and active and…..well you get the point. I am a great girl for a family that likes to have fun. I am not the most conceded girl on the block, I’m a little insecure to be honest, so I can be a little nervous in new environments. A home where I can get lots of socialization but gradual introduction to strangers will be best. Other dogs and I get a long great and older children 8+ will be ok. I am crate trained already and very excited for you to teach me lots of other things too! 3 years old-64lbs. My adoption fee is $160 and includes; current shots, microchip, spay, 5 week Training Class, free veterinary exam (SE Portland/Milwaukie area), 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Abby, a Portland Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
