My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What could someone be thinking when they abandoned a gorgeous and oh so loving Schnoodle (Schnauzer/Poodle mix) at a high-kill shelter? Pearl...at 2.5 to 3 years old and about 22 lbs...has a wonderfully positive attitude, never looking back at her abandonment, but always at her joy about today. She spreads her love and good-will around to everyone that she meets. Pearl's true passion is first and foremost.. anyone who will cuddle her - she's the ultimate snuggler! She also loves long walks where she's so happy to be out in the air with new sights and sounds. After all, Pearl is a young girl who is learning everyday about the boundaries and possibilities of the world around her. She does enjoy both mental stimulation as well as physical exercise. She love to be your partner...be it hiking, riding shotgun in the car or going shopping in dog-friendly stores...through nurturing her great temperament with further socialization skills, Pearl will be a loyal and loving companion.

Here is what Pearl's foster wrote about her: "Pearl is simply the best dog ever! She is so loving, so responsive and looks deeply into your eyes and lets you know how important you are to her. She would have so much to say about how much she loves you if she could just find the words. She is VERY bright and loves to run into your arms for a hug and a kiss. She would do great with an equally fun and loving dog to play with. She also LOVES her humans! Pearl would do great where she is the center of attention because she deserves it for being so wonderful!"

We envision Pearl in a home with either retirees who enjoy spending their days with a furry companion or a family with older children 8+ who have the time and desire to nurture a great companion dog. Pearl absolutely loves to play with other dogs and would love to be in a house with other dogs! She would relish the individualized time with the people she loves. This relationship is more important to Pearl than just about anything. Joy to Pearl is primarily about the time she spends warming her favorite person's feet or walks or errands that she can be included in. Pearl is a very portable girl and would also be a great travel companion She's not a barky or pushy type...therefore happily accepted in virtually any situation. As is immediately obvious in her photo, Pearl's beautiful snow-white coat is a mess! Farfel's will be happy to cover a spa day for Pearl at our groomer. She will emerge with her gorgeous Schnoodle coat being as it should be - cotton-soft and shining. Pearl is a non-shedding breed combo and will therefore require periodic grooming and high-quality nutrition to keep her coat healthy and matt-free.

Applications and inquiries are currently being accepted for this exceptional and very devoted companion. Pearl is currently being fostered in Denver. If interested in this fun-loving and very sweet companion, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com. A meet and greet can then be set up once an application is received.
