Dustin's Story...
Sweet Dustin was turned in by his owners to a high kill shelter. He was very scared and confused. He was also very matted, dirty and not taken care of at all. His owners said that they did not have the time for him, which was evident in his filthy appearance. We got him all cleaned up and groomed and he is adorable. Dustin was very shy when we first got him out of the shelter. He now loves attention from humans and loves to play with his doggie friends. He would do best in fairly quiet home with another dog(s) and no young children. Dustin is about 7-8 months old and he currently weighs about 16 pounds. Full grown he will be approximately 25 pounds. Please give this sweet boy the forever home he deserves!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dustin, a San Pedro Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) for sale in San Pedro, or seeking a Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in San Pedro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Pedro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Pedro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Pedro paves the way for another one to be saved.
