My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"The darling Lola was rescued off the streets of Dallas in a bad part of town after her rescuer watched someone go out of their way to try and hit her with their car.

Lola is a beautiful 1-yr-old red & white Am. Staff (aka: "Pitbull"). She is happy, friendly, and totally goofy. She will always make you smile and can entertain herself with kongs, sticks, and toys for hours. She loves to play with other dogs but can play spaz-tastic-ly so she would do best in a home that will allow CONTROLLED playtime to avoid any of the dogs getting too ramped up. She is FAST as lightning and loves to run --- we call them the "butt-tucking zoomies".... and it is her nightly ritual.

Lola is 100% crate-trained and does great on a leash. She is totally house-broken SO LONG as you give her consistent potty breaks (she has not had one accident in the house or in her crate). She is still young and learning the ropes but is smart as a whip. VERY smart. She picks up on things very quickly and is very loyal to her people. She will need an owner that has experience with mentally-tough breeds and someone that can continue to guide and shape her as a canine good citizen. She is not above trying to get on the couch or put her paws on the counter, so continued training is necessary.

Lola has a very high prey drive and the instinct to chase small creatures (rabbits, squirrels, and CATS.) She loves to "tree" them... so a home without small animals is absolutely required. Ideally, she would love a home with one or two other dogs her size.

She loves all humans... regardless of age or size, but might be too boisterous of a dog for small toddlers (she might knock them over unintentionally.) But she sure does love everyone.

She is sweet, silly, and energetic. She is 100% fully vetted and will go to her new home with a leash, collar, all appropriate tags, and food to help transition. Any home interested in Lola must be willing to be screened (phone and home interview.)

Please contact Laura Bates at aussie330@aol.com or 817-253-3898 if you're interested in providing this wonderful girl a loving home."
