Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Nelly is a lovely 9 yr old long haired Rottweiler. This poor girl came into our care obese and having trouble even moving. Her poor old frame was simply too weak to hold the 120 lbs. But with gentle exercise and swimming, Nelly has become a totally different dog. She is fun loving and is starting to become agile.
Nelly still needs a home with very few stairs. She needs someone that can take her out for walks several times a day and who will keep her on her weight loss program. We think Nelly still has to lose at least 20 lbs.
Nelly does require grooming as her fur is quite long and curly. But she loves to be brushed and rolls over so you can get all sides. This old girl can live with other animals. But she is grumpy if they get too close and will tell them to back off. Apparently she has lived with cats but we have not tested her with them. We would prefer that she go to a home with adult only. The coming and going of small children might just be too much for her.
If you would like to inquire about adopting Nelly, please contact us at wcrr.info@gmail.com. Nelly is currently living in the lower mainland of BC and will only be adopted in this province.
